With all the international cricket activities and other sports event currently halted across the globe due to the coronavirus pandemic. A lot of sports stars have turned into corona warriors by coming out of comfort zones. Majority of them are on the streets and have been actively involved in the battle against coronavirus from the frontlines.

Take a look at the 10 sports star who have turned into corona warriors.

1 Ajay Thakur Asian Games champion, kabaddi player Ajay Thakur, who was given the Padma Shri last year, is posted as a DSP in Himachal Pradesh Police. Like others, Ajay too has been busy working constantly, patrolling the streets and has been raising awareness about the health crisis in the country.

2. Harendra Singh-Former India hockey coach Harendra Singh, who is employed as General Manager (Commercial), Air India was actively involved in scanning civilian traffic before the lockdown. At present air traffic is limited only to the transport of essential supplies, especially medicines.

3.Sushil Kumar -Sushil Kumar Solanki is an Indian freestyle wrestler. He was competing in the 66 kg weight division when he won the 2010 world title, a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which made him the only Indian to win two individual Olympic medals.

 

4.Babita phogat- Babita Kumari Phogat is an Indian female wrestler, who won the gold medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games. She also won silver medals at 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2010 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the 2012 World Wrestling Championships.

 7.Akhil Kumar-Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning boxer Akhil Kumar, who works as an ACP in Haryana Police, like Joginder Sharma has been at the frontlines in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

8.CK Vineeth -CK Vineeth has been helping out people in his hometown Kannur, Kerala, through a government helpline centre.

9.Utkarsh kale -Utkarsh kale was born in baramati, pune he is currently working in indian railways from 2012

10. Deepak Punia -Deepak Punia, is an Indian freestyle wrestler who won the silver medal at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in the freestyle 86 kg category and secured a place in the 2020 Summer Olympics.
