With Real Kashmir FC being invited for the ‘UK City for Peace Celebrations’ at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, the first I-League club from the trouble torned State of Jammu & Kashmir becomes a true ambassador of ‘Football for Peace’.
The owners, Shamim Mehraj and Sandeep Chattoo will be part of an august gathering in London, to bring alive the story of RKFC at an international platform, today (Thursday).
The event will be hosting His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, as a VIP guest will also see football stars like Mesut Ozil, Wilfred Zaha, Bacary Sagna, Lucas Perez, Danny Simpson, Mathieu Flamini, Hayden Mullins marking their presence.

Football can do amazing things and with this conference. The organizers wish to take things further and foster lasting peace, equality and integration between communities around the world, and show governments and policy makers how the simple concept of football diplomacy can be a viable tool for them to help bring about peace and more tolerant societies.
UK City for Peace is a development programme organized by Football for Peace to bring together young people from different cultures, faiths and backgrounds from across the globe to work together, play together and learn to confront preconceptions, stereotypes and negative ideologies together, through their common love of football.
Futbol Por La Paz (Football for Peace) was established in 2006 by FIFA and Chilean legend Elias Figueroa and Co-Founded Internationally in 2013 by British South Asian International Footballer, Kashif Siddiqi. FfP has been active for over a decade building a unique platform of neutrality and dialogue.
Jammu & Kashmir for the longest time was anticipated as a Valley fraught with unrest, turmoil and limited opportunities for its youth. In the midst of all this, Real Kashmir FC is bringing accolades to the State and is daring to not only challenge the set perception but change it altogether.
Real Kashmir FC is the first team from Jammu & Kashmir to have ever qualified for I-League.
