The battles of equals is on the cards in the Abu Dhabi T10 League today (Friday) as the table toppers Maratha Arabians and Bangla Tigers will meet in the second math of the day at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Before that Qalanadar will just have to avoid a defeat against lowly Delhi Blues to qualify for the knockout stage. The alt match of the day will pitches last-ranked Karnataka Tuskers against Team Abu Dhabi with both the team having little hope of making the grade.
For the Indian fans, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan will both be in action for their respective teams.
DELHI BLUES VS QALANDARS
The Delhi Blues engaged in the first match of the day are left with little to gain except for the joy victory and a favourable result for academic interest. Irrespective of a win over the fifth-placed Qalandars, the Delhi Blues will not be able to move into the decisive round. The Blues have one only one game from the respective five outings, managed to split point in one each and lost three.
Except for the tied game, Delhi Blues have also been deserted by luck in several close matches. The harsh fact however remains that they have missed the bus
Qalandars on the other hand will have an opportunity to make it to the playoffs if they manage to win this game. The team has two wins, two losses and one tied game out of their five matches and have five points. A win will put them on a par with the teams in No 1 and 2 position. Courtesy of their way better net run rate as compared to Northern Warriors, if the team manages to win this match, they will jump ahead of the Warriors and make it to the playoffs. Even if the match is tied or rained off, Qalandars will qualify.
