Among Us world’s most downloaded game in October, PUBG now not even in Top 10

Most Dowloaded mobile game in the world : For the second month in a row, Among Us became the most downloaded mobile game worldwide, according to just released data by analytics company Sensor Tower. The game was downloaded approximately 74.8 million times in October. Another important finding of the data is that for the first time since the PUBG Mobile release, the game is out of Top 10 MOST Dowloaded mobile games list.

For Among Us India accounted for 15 percent of these downloads while the U.S. contributed 11.6 percent. The game topped the downloads charts on both platforms, the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. This represents almost a 50-times increase from October 2019 for Among Us.
InnerSloth’s Among Us was way ahead of second-placed Subway Surfers, which was downloaded 19.8 million times last month.

Other games in the top five include Join Clash 3D, Garena Free Fire, and Genshin Impact. Genshin Impact managed to climb to fifth place in the downloads charts during its first month of release.

Another global success story, Genshin Impact, entered the top downloads chart at No. 5 with an estimated 16.4 million installs last month.

Genshin Impact is not only one of the most dowloaded but also is highest grossing in the month of October. Genshin Impact generated $239 Million in the month of October with less than a third of player spending coming from publisher miHoYo’s home country, China.

Among Us World’s most downloaded game in October but beware of the fake versions

With success comes some bit of controversy and that is true for Among Us as well. The fake versions of the world’s most downloaded game in October has started doing the rounds.

If you’ve been playing Among Us for a while, then you should be familiar with the heaps of hats, costumes, or pets that are available in the game for free, or for a small price. While all of the in-game cosmetics add a nice touch to your character, it appears like some websites are abusing the players’ demands for Among Us skins to scam them.

Some fake Among Us giveaway websites claims to provide players with custom skins for the murder mystery and that too, free of charge. It’s easy to see how newer players could find themselves falling for such websites and get their time and money ripped off from them.

One example of a website like this is amongus.dev. The website advertises custom player skins like ‘God’, ‘Dinosaur, ‘Spiderman’, or ‘Rainbow’, none of that exist in the actual game.
