Former Twitter head of sports partnerships, Asia Pacific, Aneesh Surender Madani has taken up the global role as head of digital partnerships for the International Olympic Council. He will be moving to Lausanne in Switzerland soon for his new role.

Aneesh Surender Madani has reportedly quit the social media platform Twitter after a long five-year association as the SportsPartnerships Jead, Asia pacific.

Madani has announced the news of his global role with the IOC on his official twitter handle today (Monday).

Madani had joined Twitter in November 2013 as the Head of Sports Partnership for the Indian market. His portfolio was extended to the India and South East Asia market in November 2016, and then he took the charge of the entire Asia Pacific in June 2017.

Madani brings with him a long experience in the sports broadcast industry. Prior to the twitter assignments, he has had a brief stint with Neo Sports Broadcast. He has also served the Nimbus Communication.

Outside sports, Madani had been associated with Leo Burnett India as a brand strategy associate. His affair with sports had started with the Indian Premier League team Royal Challengers Bangalore where he was the Chief Blogger for seven months between March and September 2010.
