ATP clocks Rolex partnership up to 2020

ATP-Rolex partnership till 2020

The Luxury watchmaker Rolex has decided to stay committed to the sport of Tennis. Showing its continued support to the sport, Rolex has renewed its partnership with the Association of Tennis Professionals Tour. The luxury watch brand will remain official timekeeper of elite men’s tennis tour. The multi-year extension will be in existence till 2020. Rolex will also be the official timekeeper of the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals for next 3 years.

Rolex’s association with the sport dates back over 40 years. Rolex also has on its rolls the world’s greatest tennis player, Roger Federer as brand ambassador for the brand. Rolex’s commitment to the sport can further be gauged from the fact that the brand is also the title sponsor of the Paris Masters 1000 event.

“Rolex is a brand that is steeped in the history of professional tennis,” said Chris Kermode, executive chairman and president of the ATP. “They have been a valued partner of our season-ending finale since 2005, and to the ATP World Tour since 2013, and their commitment to our sport speaks volumes. We’re delighted to extend our successful partnership.”

The 2017 Nitto ATP Finals got underway on Sunday, and the final is due to take place on 19th November. World number one Rafael Nadal pulled out of the tournament through injury on Monday following his surprise defeat by Belgian seventh seed David Goffin in his opening round-robin match.
