Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year, will be broadcast live on Sony Six, Sony Six HD, Sony Ten 2 and Sony Ten 2 HD channels and SonyLIV app.
Sony Pictures Sports Network, official broadcaster for the Australian Open in India, will broadcast the paramount opener to the Grand Slam competitions for the 2018 season. The tournament will be played in Melbourne from January 15.
The 106th edition of the tournament will feature top names like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki amongst other world-class talents.
Known as the ‘Fans Slam’, the Australian Open features men’s and women’s singles as well as men’s, women’s and mixed doubles. The grand slam is played on world-class courts at the Rod Laver Arena, Hisense Arena, Margaret Court Arena and Open Courts.
Staying true to its commitment to build a multi-sport viewing culture, SPSN will telecast a live studio wraparound show after the morning and evening sessions through the duration of the tournament on SONY SIX that will also be live streamed on SonyLIV app and website. The show will be hosted by Jason Dasey and will feature expert insights from panellists like Chris Evert, John McEnroe amongst others live from Melbourne.
The LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of the tournament will start at 5:30 AM from January 15 to January 28, 2018. Viewers on the go can also live stream the matches on the SonyLIV App and website.
