Kia Motors has agreed to extend its partnership with the Australian Open for a further five years to 2023. The announcement is made at a signing ceremony held at Melbourne Park. This latest deal extends Kia’s longest-running major sponsorship deal with the first Grand Slam of the year. Kia has started its Australian Open association a decade and a half ago with the 2002 season.
Over the last 15 years, Kia’s courtesy vehicles have accumulated close to six million kilometers, making tens of thousands of journeys carrying tennis players, match officials and other VIPs in comfort and safety around host city Melbourne.
Tennis legend Rod Laver, whose name is shared with the main Australian Open arena, took part in the signing ceremony at the Melbourne Park.
