PV Sindhu is excited for being part of the FIFA under-17 World Cup draw.
It is an honour for a sportsperson to represent the country. To win gives sense of pride and achievement. Being worth the ambassador for another sporting discipline of global stature is the ultimate achievement. Nothing excites and elates more than that pride.
India’s badminton princess Sindhu is in the same zone. She will be a part of the FIFA u-17 World Cup draw, scheduled to take place in Mumbai.
Sindhu turned to twitter to share her excitement in a video message. She also wrote: “Excited to not only witness but also be a part of Indian sporting history at the Draw for #FIFAU17WC. #FootballTakesOver Mumbai on 7th July”.

Sindhu in her message is also seeking support for the under-17 World Cup.
On July 7, the Rio Olympics silver medallist will be in the elite company of two of India’s greatest football stars former captain Bhaichung Bhutia and the present national Sunil Chhetri as the draw will be announced from 7pm onwards.
The 24 participating nations will be divided into four groups of six teams each. India, the hosts, are placed in Group A by default.
The under-17 World Cup starts from Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on October 6. The final is slated for October 28 at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium.
