The BCB has prepared a biosecure bubble for the three-match ODI series which will take place in Shere Bangla National Stadium.

Sri Lanka players underwent quarantine for three days after their arrival in Bangladesh on May 16, while the Bangladesh team that arrived from Sri Lanka also had a three-day home quarantine. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, who featured in IPL 2021, were in hotel isolation for 11 days.

“Mahmud tested positive and is in isolation at his home. We don’t need to appoint another team leader director as we are playing Sri Lanka at home. It is easy for the board to monitor the team. So there should not be any problem regarding the role of the team leader,” BCB cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan told the local media on Saturday.
