BAN vs SL: Kusal Perera’s Sri Lanka arrive in Dhaka for 3 ODIs, to isolate for three days: Sri Lanka will play three-match ODI series in Dhaka under the ICC ODI Super League. Upon arrival, the entire Sri Lanka team will be put in isolation for three days before being allowed to resume practice in small groups. During the isolation, the entire team including support staff will need to return two negative COVID-19 tests before being allowed to practice.
Sri Lanka Cricket shared a video and pictures of the team’s departure on Sunday morning. The side will have four debutants and the young side will be challenged by an experienced Bangladesh side led by Tamim Iqbal. The preliminary squad also saw the return of Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, both of whom were left out of the Test series in Sri Lanka. The two were playing in the IPL 2021 before the tournament was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BAN vs SL: “We have a very good team. We have a lot of young players They have played a lot of first-class cricket and have a lot of experience. So, we are hoping to do well in Bangladesh,” Kusaal Perera said before leaving Sri Lanka.
“We have to play fearless cricket. We can’t be afraid of losing. It’s difficult for a player to give 100% if he is uncertain about his place in the XI so I will tell my team to give more than 100%,” he added.
As Sri Lanka begin practice, Bangladesh, already in a national camp, will play intra-squad matches before the final squad is announced.
