BAN vs SL LIVE – BCB sells TV rights to Ban Tech for nearly Rs 140 crore for next 2 years: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has sold its 2021-23 TV rights to marketing agency Ban Tech for USD 19.07 million. BCB was under pressure, because on the eve of the 3 match ODI series against Sri Lanka, the series broadcaster was yet to be finalized can now breathe easy with a 2 year deal.
BAN vs SL LIVE – BCB Media Rights: Ban Tech won the bid by bidding just above the floor price set at BDT 161.5 crore. Bangladesh national team is scheduled to play nine home series during this time frame comprising seven Tests along with 18 ODIs and 19 T20Is. The Sri Lanka tour of Bangladesh will be the first home series under this two-year deal (till October 2023).
Ban Tech had earlier bought the TV rights for the home series against West Indies and were the only party to have taken part in the bidding.
The amount committed by Ban Tech is slightly less than Gazi TV who were the previous broadcasters of BCB (USD 20.02 million for six years), which covered 80 international matches, including India, Australia and England tour of Bangladesh.

Ban Tech had earlier bid for Bangladesh vs West Indies series at home for reportedly USD 2.2 million. T-Sports and Gazi TV, two big sports channels in Bangladesh, may buy rights from Ban Tech.
T-Sports had earlier broadcasted Bangladesh-West Indies and Bangabandhu T20 Cup. BCB will formally announce the deal on Tuesday.
“We will disclose the deal after the board’s approval tomorrow. It is definitely a good thing, given the circumstances. They were the only bidders, and they met the floor price,” Jalal Yunus, BCB’s media committee chairman told ESPNCricinfo.
