Bangladesh T20 Cricket: Disgusting act by former Bangladesh captain Mushifiqur Rahim, try to hit teammate

Bangladesh T20 Cricket- Disgusting act by former Bangladesh captain Mushifiqur Rahim: Former Bangladesh cricket captain Mushfiqur Rahim has come under fire after a shocking unsportsmanlike spirit during a Bangladesh T20 match in Dhaka. Fans condemned the wicketkeeper after an “unacceptable” incident with one of his own teammates during Beximco Dhaka vs Fortune Barishal clash.

Rahim, courtesy of 43 off 30 balls, helped his team Dhaka to post a decent score of 150/8. They were in a strong position while defending the total too.

Barishal were five wickets down and needed 45 runs off the final 19 balls when Afifa Hossain skied a shot into the outfield.

Spinner Nasum Ahmed, who was stationed at fine leg, seemed well-positioned to take a simple catch.

However, skipper Mushfiqur decided to attempt the catch and raced towards it from the stumps, narrowly avoiding a collision.

The furious 33-year-old, quickly reacted to it by almost punching the 26-year-old spinner. The angry gesture left the social media in shock and fans quickly condemned the action.

One of the Dhaka enthusiast wrote: “Although it was like a ‘heat of the moment’ during a tensed match. But still, this is ‘Not Acceptable’…..particularly from a senior player like Mushfiqur Rahim… *pic collected”

Mushfiqur’s teammates asked him to calm down and also comforted youngster Nasum Ahmed. If Nasum Ahmed and Rahim collided, then the catch would have been missed and both the players could have suffered serious injuries as well.
