The Odisha Cricket Association has received ₹10 crores for repairs and renovations of the Barabati Cricket Stadium in Cuttack, which will play host to a One Day International during the India-West Indies series.
Odisha Cricket Association secretary Sanjay Behera had informed local media that the BCCI on Sunday had released the fund to repair and upgrade the stadium that was badly damaged by the cyclone FANI earlier this year.
Odisha had asked for the aid of ₹ 22 crores from the BCCI to repair and upgrade the Barabati Stadium. The West Indies will be playing three T20 Internationals and as many One Day Internationals in
India from December 6 to 22. The last match of the tour, the third ODI, will be played at the Barabati Stadium on December 22.
India has announced a full-fledged squad, to be led by Virat Kohli with Rohit Sharma as his deputy, for both the T20I and the ODI series.
The matches will be broadcast LIVE on Star Sports Network channels with a Hindi language simulcast on DD Sports. The feed will also be streamed on Hotstar.
