Champions Trophy 2025: ”There are lots of issues (in order to solely host the Men’s World Cup). We will need to have 10 full-fledged stadiums. It is the same for whoever is interested to bid for the event. So that is not possible for us because we do not have so many venues. Hosting even the T20 World Cup solely is a challenge for us but we will sit and discuss with some of the neighboring countries to see whether we can become a co-host,” he said.
“However there is the Champions Trophy which is possible for us to host. We have decided to bid to solely host the Champions Trophy,” he added.
Nazmul appended that though they have almost concluded the contract list but could not reveal it as there were some 11th-hour changes.
Champions Trophy 2025: “The national contract is finalized but we cannot disclose it right now as some changes will be made,” he added showing that the BCB Cricket Operations Committee has been asked to evaluate the conclusions of the Board.
“We decided to introduce the shadow national team as we feel when someone gets dropped from the national team they don’t have any place to go like we can take Imrul Kayes for example so they must have someplace to go,” he said about the latest memoranda supervised by BCB Directors Kazi Inam Ahmed and Khaled Mahmud in the coming days.
