BCCI invites applications for the position of National Selectors

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications to fill the positions of two senior men’s national selectors, including one for the incumbent selection committee chief in place of MSK Prasad; all the five members of the women’s senior national selection committee and two junior national selectors.

The BCCI has also shared the following desired criteria for different positions:

Senior Men:

  •  Should have played 7 Test matches OR
  • 30 first-class matches OR
  • 10 ODIs and 20 first-class matches
  • Should have retired from the game at least 5 years ago

Applications should be submitted by 11.59 pm on Jan 24, 2020 at nationalsrselectors@bcci.tv

Senior Women:

  • Should have represented the Indian Women’s Cricket Team
  • Should have retired from the game at least 5 years ago

Junior Men:

  • Should have played 25 first-class matches
  • Should have retired from the game at least 5 years ago

The selectors will be picked by the Cricket Advisory Committee, comprising 1983 World Cup-winning team member Madan Lal, Member of Parliament and former India opener Gautam Gambhir and former woman international cricketer Sulakshana Naik.
