CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Bad news for PSG, Mbappe ruled out of the upcoming Champions League match

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) declared that their star striker Kylian Mbappe will miss out on their upcoming Champions League game against RB Leipzig on Thursday due to an injury, reported AFP. The French forward had suffered a hamstring injury last week against Nantes in the league match, where he scored a penalty.

The World Cup-winner’s 11th-hour deficiency is an important blow for the French side with Neymar and Mauro Icardi already missing. Thomas Tuchel’s side sits in 2nd position in Group H, 3 points behind Manchester United.

The PSG coach seemed oblivious about Mbappe’s fitness for their match against the German side.” It is just fatigue. It’s not an injury,” said the PSG manager in the post-match interview. Although, medical reports have confirmed that the player has “a right hamstring muscle problem”, PSG said. PSG already has 7 injuries including the likes of Julian Draxler, Leandro Paredes, and Marco Veratti. They could level Manchester United on points if they win their game against Leipzig.
