Coronavirus Threat: NBA postpones Jaipur Dribble-A-Thon

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has today (Thursday) postponed the Dribble-a-thon event, which had been scheduled for Sunday, March 8, at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

“Following the recommendation of State authorities regarding the developing situation related to the coronavirus in Jaipur, we have made the decision to reschedule the Dribble-a-thon to a later date,” NBA India Managing Director Rajesh Sethi said in a statement.

The event has been deferred within two weeks of its announcement on February 25.

The first leg of the event, featuring children above six years of age dribbling basketball across a one km course,  was slated for Chandigarh for Saturday, February 29.
