Jamaica Thallawahs face yet another litmus test as they run into the Caribbean Premier League 2019 table toppers Guyana Amazon Warriors, the only team with an all-win record this season.
Led by lesser known Chris Green, Guyana Amazon Warriors are in a rampaging form as the presence of the likes of Shimron Hetmyer, Imran Tahir, Keemo Paul, Nicholas Pooran, Shoaib Malik and Shadab Khan make them the most formidable and balance side of the competition.
The team with an all-win record from their four games so far also enjoy the best net run rate of 1.387, a win over tomorrow (Thursday) will help them consolidate their position at the top. Second placed Trinbago Knight Riders too have four wins to their credit, but suffered an upset defeat in the Super Over against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Jamaica Thalaivas are also fresh from the win in their last outing, against Barbados Tridents three days ago. They will be raring to go to keep their hopes afloat. Skipper Andre Russell will yet again have to lead from the front with able support coming from seasoned campaigners Chris Gayle, Dwayne Smith and Jeyrome Taylor.
A win will also help Jamaica Thallawahs to move up the bottom of the deck for the first time. Second placed too have one win to their credit. But they have played only three matches so far and enjoy a superior run rain than the Jamaica-based outfit.
The match at Sabina Park, Jamaica, will start at 5.30 am India time. Catch all the action LIVE on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD from 2:30 am India time. The action will also be simulcast on Hotstar VIP.
