Caribbean Premier League is poised for a keen contest during the battle of equals as St. Lucia Zouks host Barbados Tridents early morning tomorrow.
St Lucia Zouks and Barbados Tridents are placed fourth and fifth respectively on the CPL 2019 points table with one win each to their credit. Hosts St Lucia though have played one game more than the Tridents, who in their three matches so far have suffered two defeats.
The winner in tomorrow’s game (tonight Caribbean time) will be assured of the fourth position.
St. Lucia will be looking up to Rakheem Cornwell and Fawad Ahmad, the heroes of their maiden win this season with a knock of 75 and two for 28 respectively. The team also has some trusted names in their ranks like Darren Samy, Lasith Malinga, Thisara Perera and Najibullah Zadran.
Leniko Boucher (64*) and Nepal’s spin sensation Sandeep Lamicchane (3 for 22) have been instrumental in giving the Tridents their consolation win so far. The team will rely heavily on the duo. Though likes of Jason Holder, JP Duminy, Alex Hales, Sai Hope, Wahab Riaz and Imad Wasim hold a lot of promise for them. The choice of overseas player will pose a challenge to the team thinktank.
The match will start at 5.30 am India time. Catch all the action LIVE on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD from 2:30 am India time. The action will also be simulcast on Hotstar VIP.
