CPL 2021 – Carlos Brathwaite in Quarantine: Braithwaite has been forced into isolation as his fellow passenger was tested Covid-19 positive. The West Indies T20 World Cup hero  Brathwaite travelled from Manchester to Basseterre ahead of the CPL after captaining Manchester Originals in the Hundred. He will stay in isolation for indefinite period and is likely to miss first few matches for Jamaic Tallawahs.

“My tests have been negative as far as I know,” Brathwaite was quoted by ESPN CRICINFO. “We’ve been asked to be in quarantine. I still don’t know the full extent of it. I’ve just been told I need to continue to quarantine as opposed to being allowed to walk around the hotel as was initially allowed. So I’m just as much in the dark as you are, unfortunately.”

CPL 2021 – Is Du Plessis fit to take the field? Du Plessis who left Pakistan Super League & The Hundred midway due to concussion related issues is again doubtful for the opening match for St Lucia Kings.

Andy Flower, Coach of Kings is still hopeful he will make it to the XI for the 1st match.

“He’s had his own personal fitness challenges just recently with his concussion issues. He looks much better. We hope and pray that he’s obviously fit for his own good but also for ours. There’s no 100% guarantee about that, but that’s what we’re planning for. ” Flower said during a virtual media interaction.
