In response, while Roston Chase and Tim David resurrected the innings and came close to overhauling the target, the conditions caught up to them and the Kings saw their winning run end

Over 4: Firstsings of pace and Du Plessis and Fletcher both fetch boundaries, as Kings make a steady start to their chase.

Over 2: Faf du Plessis makes his intentions clear, hits a huge six off Tahir to keep the scoreboard ticking. 13/0

Over 1: Gudakesh Motie opens the bowling keeps things tight with just three runs coming off it.

Over 20: Wahab Riaz bowls a brilliant last over to finish his spell with excellent figures of 2/16. Smith’s cameo takes them to 151, a competitive total on a slowish pitch.

Over 19: Odean Smith shows his power, nails, Kesrick Williams, for 16 off 3 balls to hand a much-needed boost. Takes them past 140.

Over 18: Brandon King departs but not before he has done his part, having single-handedly steered the Warriors to a competitive total.

Over 17: The dropped catch is coming to haunt the Kings as Brandon moves into the 70s with delightful back to back boundaries of Wahab Riaz.

Over 16: Warriors’ hopes of a big finish suffered a huge blow after Pooran holds out in the deep off Roston Chase. Huge relief after Fletcher dropped King.

Over 15: Brandon Kings get to a half-century, his sixth in CPL as Nicholas Pooran looks to force the issue, plays a delightful lofted on-drive for six.

Over 13: King joins in o the attack, hits Patel for a glorious six before the veteran pulls his length back to restrict the damage to just nine in the over.

Over 12: Pooran forces the pace, picks up a six and a boundary off Roston Chase to make it 12 from the over. 71/4

Over 11: Pooran and Brandon King play out Samit Patel for just three in the over, as they look to rebuild.

Earlier in the tournament, Saint Lucia Kings piped Guyana Amazon Warriors by a massive margin of 51 runs. Roston Chase was adjudged as the player of the match for his blazing 85 run knock which included seven sixes and six fours.
