The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Nominations Committee is meeting today via teleconference to formalize the election procedure for the post of chairman. The nomination committee comprises of representatives of all test playing nations. Sourav Ganguly, the BCCI president himself will attend some of the meetings on the Indian board’s behalf lined up over the next few days.

The need to announce the procedure came up as incumbent chairman Shashank Manohar will complete his tenure this July. The successor is required to be elected and as per the norm, the ICC will have to come up with an announcement on how the global body will conduct its elections for the ICC Chairman post.
The entire procedure, selection of the potential candidates, timelines of the elections will all be decided during the meeting. It is worth noting that the BCCI president himself can be vying for the ICC Chairman’s post. For more on this, click the below link –
In the next few days some more ICC meetings are lined up and various key decisions will be taken by the ICC Board.

– Thursday – ICC Board Members meeting – Final Decision on T20 World Cup will be taken
For the cricket fans, the most important decision can be pronounced after the meeting lined up on Thursday. As reported by InsideSport earlier, the T20 World Cup in Australia stands to be postponed after the ICC Board Members meeting on Thursday.
InsideSport has also been informed by one of the BCCI member that Ganguly for the first time will attend the meeting on Thursday officially as ICC Director.
