BCCI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India is the national governing body for cricket in India. BCCI is considered as richest and most powerful cricket board in the world. The BCCI is responsible for organizing both domestic and international cricket in India. Indian Cricket Board also owns and promotes the world's richest cricket league, Indian Premier League (IPL) History and Formation: The Indian Cricket board was formed in December 1928 as a society, registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act. It is a consortium of state cricket associations and the state associations select their representatives who in turn elect the board officials.
