Equitas Small Finance Bank, the official retail banking partner of the Chennai Super Kings, has launched its Yellow Army Savings Account in commemoration of the partnership with one of the most decorated franchisee in the Indian Premier League.
CSK jerseys will carry Equitas Small Finance Bank logo on the lead arm as well as on the back of the helmet and cap as part of a three-year deal, beginning with the upcoming 2018 edition, it was also announced.
CSK players Murali Vijay and Dwayne Bravo unveiled the exclusively designed Yellow Army debit card carrying images and illustrations of the three retained CSK stalwarts – MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja.
“CSK stands for Super fun and Equitas stands for fun banking. We have created a Yellow Army Savings Account which is designed to give great thrill to all CSK fans and enhance the cricket fever and expect thousands of CSK fans to benefit by opening the Yellow Army Savings Account,” Sanjeev Srivastava, President & Country Head – Branch Banking, Liabilities, Products & Wealth Management, Equitas Small Finance Bank, said in a Press statement.
Equitas Small Finance Bank is the first private sector bank from Tamil Nadu post-Independence.
“Equitas, with 392 banking outlets spread across 13 States, will enable CSK fans across the country to carry (images of) their favourite players on their debit cards on opening the Yellow Army account. The account holders will also be entitled to up to 15 per cent discount on purchase of merchandise from the CSK website,” KS Viswanathan, CEO, Chennai Super Kings, said in the statement.
CSK will take on hosts Mumbai Indians in the inaugural tie of the IPL 2018 at the Wankhede Stadium on April 7.
CSK won the title twice, finished runners-up on four occasions and qualified to the Playoffs in all eight seasons between 2008 and 2015. The Chennai Super Kings have commenced their practice sessions from Friday, March 23.
