Chennai Super Kings have inked a deal with the city-based Equitas Bank as principal sponsors for the Indian Premier League team.
The IPL franchisee, making a comeback to the cash-rich league following a two-year suspension, has shared the news on its official CSK twitter handle @ChennaiIPL.
“We are happy to announce our partnership with Equitas Small Finance Bank, the first bank from Tamil Nadu post-independence,” #BackWithTheBank #WhistlePodu #SummerIsComing, the franchisee had posted in the tweet with a creative titled “Back With The Bank” showing CSK’s three retained stars – skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja.

The bank has also posted a video on youtube to share its joy over association with the top sports entity from Chennai.

Equitas Small Finance Bank was founded in 2007 by the Chennai-based Equitas as a small finance bank. However, it had become a scheduled bank in February last year.
The deal is facilitated by Baseline Ventures, who have also been instrumental in getting Nippon Paint and ACT Broadband on board with the CSK as principal sponsors.
