DC vs MI in IPL 2021: It will be a repeat of the IPL 2020 finals as Delhi Capitals take on Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians tonight at the Chepauk Stadium.

Delhi Capitals are looking well set as a team. Shikhar Dhawan is coming into this game with a string of high scores. Even without speedster Anrich Nortje, they seemed to have found their right combination and his addition will only be a boost.

However, the duo of Nortje along with his fellow countryman Kagiso Rabada, have been an integral cog of DC’s pace arsenal and were one of the primary architects to propel the franchise to finals in IPL 2020.

DC vs MI LIVE in IPL 2021: Rabada- Nortje shared 50+ wickets in the last edition amongst themselves: Rabada’s development and growth as a T20 player has been incredibly significant throughout this campaign, with his ability to strike at crucial stages ultimately the ingredient that got the Capitals over the line in what appeared to be losing battles.

Rabada took three wickets in one over in Qualifier 2 that downed the Sunrisers’ hopes of reaching another final. That he did it in the penultimate over to defend his team’s total, is probably even more significant given the importance of death bowling in the T20 format.

Nortje on the other hand, scripted history by clocking the fastest delivery in IPL history at a staggering 156.22kmph. The South African right-arm quick Anrich Nortje was a revelation for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and had stolen all the limelight with his exploits with the ball.

DC vs MI in IPL 2021: Nortje likely replace Woakes in DC Playing XI

Delhi Capitals will be more or less happy with their bowling performances. Kagiso Rabada is back and now with Nortje joining the squad they certainly have received a boost.

The Rabada-Nortje duo will certainly give fierce competition to Boult and Bumrah. While Rabada made his first IPL 2021 appearance in the last game against Punjab Kings, Nortje is yet to get a start.

However, if Nortje is included in the playing XI, he is likely to come in for Chris Woakes who hasn’t been able to impress much so far this season.

Delhi Capitals Likely Playing XI:

Delhi Capitals: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Steve Smith, Rishabh Pant (c&wk), Marcus Stoinis, Lalit Yadav, Ravi Ashwin, Chris Woakes/Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan and Amit Mishra
