Mumbai Indians’s Dhawal Kulkarni feels his experience will get him back into the Indian team – Riding on his vast experience in domestic cricket, veteran Mumbai pacer Dhawal Kulkarni is beaming with confidence after his good performance in the Vijay Hazare tournament and is hoping to get back into the Indian side once again.

“I have been performing for the last 3 years and looking forward to getting back into the Indian team. I have taken everything as a challenge. I will just keep performing and looking for the positives. I am now an experienced bowler over the years. Overall now I have played for 14 years now. The experience that I carry I take it as a positive. I really look forward to getting back into the Indian team and performing there as well,” Dhawal Kulkarni told Inside Sport in an exclusive interview after Mumbai won the Vijay hazare tournament by beating UP by 6 wickets in the finals at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.

On how he felt being a part of the winning team, Dhawal said: “It was a very good tournament for me. I really worked very hard for it. The performances that I got in the tournament were pretty much good. I am very much satisfied with my performance.” 

On how he is looking forward to the upcoming IPL season, the Mumbai pacer said “IPL is a big tournament and it’s a big platform and representing Mumbai Indians has always been a big moment for me and it has brought a lot of experience playing with them and really looking forward to a wonderful season with them.”
Kulkarni still plays a crucial role in Mumbai team’s success in Vijay Hazare tournament bagging 14 wickets in 6 matches including a match winning five for 44 against Maharashtra. Dhawal had a disappointing last season in IPL where he could play only one match.
