Dionach, independent information security companies, has announced a new partnership with rising golf phenomenon Austin Connelly.
As part of this partnership, Connelly has agreed to serve as a global ambassador for the company and will participate in their marketing and various social media campaigns. The deal will also see Connelly wear the Dionach logo on the sleeve of his apparel, starting at this week’s Omega Dubai Desert Classic, Dionach has stated in a Press release issued from Dubai.
“I am very grateful to represent the Dionach brand as I continue to progress in my career”, said Connelly. “They are one of the fastest growing companies in the information security space and this partnership demonstrates their passion and support for the game of golf.”
Connelly has been a major success since turning professional at the end of 2015, with three top 10 finishes and seven top 25 finishes in 17 starts on the European Tour, including a second place finish at the 2017 KLM Open. In July 2017, Austin appeared in his first Major Championship, The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, where he received outstanding international coverage, competing his way to the penultimate group and to a T-14 finish. After starting the year with only conditional status, Connelly secured his 2018 European Tour Card by finishing within the top 100 of the season-long Race to Dubai Rankings.
“Austin is one of golf’s most exciting young talents, representing the future of the game, and we look forward to the partnership,” said Ewan McKenzie, CEO of Dionach. “He has demonstrated an impressive knowledge and interest in the growth of our company, and we are thrilled to have him represent the Dionach brand on the European Tour.”
The deal was negotiated by Connelly’s management agency, Lagardère Sports.
