This win will boost the confidence of New Zealand as they will be facing India on June 18 for the final of the World Test Championship. With the second game-ending on Day-4, the New Zealand side got another day to rest and be fit for the final.
Key Blackcaps bowlers are back in form as Boult picked a five-wicket haul in the first innings of the second Test while Wagner and Henry were also amongst wickets. Tim Southee bowled exceptionally well in the first game of the series while their veteran batsman Taylor is also in form. Debutant Conway has shown that he belongs to this level with a double ton in the first game.
