Smriti Mandhana smashed a fifty in the crucial contest. She hit 8 fours and a couple of sixes in her 51-ball innings. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur also contributed 36 runs off 26 deliveries with the help of 5 fours and a six. Sophie Ecclestone was the pick of the bowlers for England. She scalped 3 wickets for 35 runs in her quota of 4 overs. India women managed 153 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
