England vs West Indies 2nd Test: Sachin Tendulkar lauds Jason Holder’s decision at toss

The second #raisethebat Test started off today in Manchester. However, the start was delayed as rain played spoilsport. Jason Holder won the toss and put Joe Root’s men to bat first.

With the outfield turning wet due to the pre-match shower, Jason Holder’s decision at the toss paid off as the ball barely travelled in the first session.

Speaking on the same lines, Sachin Tendulkar lauded Jason Holder’s decision saying, “In the 1st session I noticed a few balls didn’t even carry to the keeper off fast bowlers indicating a lot of dampness in the pitch. Smart move by @Jaseholder98 to bring on a spinner on such a track where the odd ball may grip and the other may go straight. #ENGvWI

While thing looked to at a dead-end Jason Holder got Roston Chase on, who struck immediately to get the first breakthrough at the stroke of lunch and put the visitors on top.

Coming back from lunch, Chase did an encore to send Zak Crawley back to the hut for a golden duck.

England are currently two wickets down. JoeRoot is in the middle with Dominic Sibley. England lost their first wicket at the stroke of Lunch as Chase trapped Rory Burns. Burns also wasted a review for England in the session. West Indies had won the toss and elected to bowl. They are playing the same team. England have made four changes.
