England vs West Indies 3rd Test Day 4 Highlights: It was a disappointing day for both players and fans as Old Trafford remained unplayable due to heavy showers. Manchester witnessed rainfall throughout the day, making Day 4’s play impossible as the rain forecast in Manchester for the day proved right.
With rain playing spoilsport, England’s chances of reclaiming the Wisden Trophy and winning the three-Test #raisethebat series got diluted.
Play abandoned for the day here at Emirates Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Stuart Broad has put up a one-man show to dismantle West Indies and put the Three Lions on the driver’s seat. Broad, who had picked two wickets on Day 2, added six more on Day 3 and is just one shy of 500 wickets in Tests. The right-arm pacer finished Day 3 with a total tally of 8 wickets so far. A milestone awaits! However, with Day 4 getting washed out Broad will certainly have to wait a little longer to achieve the historic feat.
Chasing 399 for a win, Campbell opened along with Kemar Roach, who was supposed to play the role of a nightwatchman. But Stuart Broad once again poured water over their plans, as he single-handedly dismissed the duo. Windies finished the day at 10/2, needing 389 runs more for a win. It will be interesting to see if the West Indies batsmen can weather out the English quicks and eke out a draw.
