England vs West Indies 2nd Test Live: Sibley admits using saliva, ball rubbed with disinfectant

After Day 3 got washed out, Day 4 presented with umpteen sunshine as the rain gods looked appeased. While the rain diluted England’s chances of a win, the Three Lions started strong to strike early on Day4.

Dom Bess got the breakthrough after dismissing Alzarri Joseph and keep England in the hunt

However, in a recent development, the ball got a rub with a disinfectant wipe from the umpires. As per reports, Dom Sibley has admitted to accidentally using some saliva on the ball.

At lunch, West Indies reach 118/2 at lunch on Day 4 in Manchester (Brathwaite 41*, Hope 25*), and are trailing England by 352 runs. They would be mighty pleased with their effort, especially the way Hope and Brathwaite carried on after nightwatchman Alzarri Joseph went for 32.

The pair has added 48 off 112 balls and West Indies are moving cautiously towards avoiding the follow-on. It was a good morning session for the visitors and will be hoping to keep the momentum going.
