There will be six games that will featured in the esports category, but only three have been announced so far – Dota 2, Arena of Valor, and Pro Evolution Soccer (PES).

Weng Kean, who is known under the pseudonym wkyew90, the country’s sole SEA Games gold medallist in the sport, had expected Vietnam to choose the games in which they have an advantage to win medals. The growth of eSports in South-East Asia is inevitable, according to Yew Weng Kean.

Last year’s edition in the Philippines also featured six games, namely Starcraft II, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Dota 2, Hearthstone, Arena of Valor, and Tekken 7.

The Philippines bagged three gold medals, one silver, and one bronze medal in esports during the 2019 SEA Games held in the country. This time around we are sure to see a strong performance in Dota2 from the Philippines. We are yet to see the other 3 esports to be included in the SEA games.
