However, he will continue to stay in the hospital as he will go through a battery of test to find out the underlying reason behind suffering a cardiac arrest at such a young age.
“Under the circumstances. I still have to go through some examinations at the hospital, but I feel okay. Now, I will cheer on the boys on the Denmark team in the next matches. Play for all of Denmark,” Christian Eriksen added.
On Monday, through his agent Martin Schoots, Eriksen thanked the fans and said he felt better.
“Thank you, I won’t give up. I feel better now – but I want to understand what’s happened. I want to say thank you all for what you did for me,” Christian Eriksen told Gazzetta dello Sport through his agent Martin Schoots.
“We spoke this morning (Sunday). He joked, he was in a good mood, I found him fine. We all want to understand what happened to him, he wants to do it too. The doctors are carrying out in-depth examinations, it will take time. Eriksen smiled with Kjaer and his Denmark teammates. He was happy because he understood how much love is around,” Schoots said.
Eriksen also spoke to his Denmark teammates and captain Simon Kjær and thanked them. He joked with them, saying they are in worse shape than him in hospital.
“Messages have reached him from all over the world. And he was particularly impressed by those of the Inter teammates and fans. Christian doesn’t give up. He and his family want their thanks to everyone,” Schoots added.
