Euro 2020 Croatia preview: Reaching the FIFA World Cup final in 2018 ahead of Germany and others, Croatia surprised many. The Zlatko Dalić-coached side’s dream run ended with captain Luka Modric winning the Ballon d’Or in 2018. However, since the final loss to France, Croatia haven’t hit the top form, scrapping through to the main rounds of UEFA Euro 2020.
In the qualifying rounds, they suffered a surprising defeat to Hungary while managed a narrow win against Azerbaijan and a draw against the same opponent. The lack of goalscorers and Luka Modric’s dip in form also did not help the matter. With no Ivan Rakitic, who called it quits, the scoring will be further depleted.

England, who they beat in the World Cup semifinals, have drastically improved while Scotland and the Czech Republic could surprise them and exploit Croatia’s lack of goal-scoring ability.
