Euro 2020: Didier Deschamps revealed Ousmane Dembele needs to undergo tests to determine the extent of his knee injury. France is scheduled to face Portugal in a Group F match on 24th June at the Ferenc Puskas Stadium.

Ousman Dembele injury: The Barcelona winger has had a long history of injury concerns. The 24 year old came on as a substitute in France’s 1-1 draw against Hungary but couldn’t continue for the remaining period as the Les Bleus manager took him off just a few minutes before the final whistle.

He suffered a blow on his knee as he hit the post with the first touch of his ball and that could be the only reason for his injury. His absence is unlikely to impact Deschamp’s plans as the France gaffer does have a strong squad at his disposal.

Ousman Dembele injury: Dembele is now a doubt for France’s final group game against Hungary which could decide their fate. Deschamps said, “We need to run some tests, he’s being examined in the evening. He’s had a reaction with a knee tendon.”

France is currently topping the group of death a win against Cristiano Ronald’s side will ensure their place in the round of 16.
