Social media giant Facebook has inked a deal with the National Basketball Association to stream highlights to several of its professional leagues via its streaming platform Facebook Watch.

Delayed coverage of all matches from the NBA, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), and the NBA G League, US basketball’s minor league, will also be made available via the over-the-top (OTT) platform.

The move was announced by NBA Digital, the league’s department for digital content run in conjunction with US broadcaster Turner Sports, and will also feature highlights from the NBA 2K League, the NBA’s official esports series.

“We’re thrilled for Facebook Watch to now be a place where basketball fans can come together to get caught up on and debate the latest action from each of the NBA’s four leagues,” said Devi Mahadevia, Facebook’s North America sports programming lead.
