Roger Federer and Mercedes Benz have agreed to extend their existing 10-year deal. The contract between the top-ranked ATP Star and the German luxury car brand is renewed at $5 million per annum.
“Roger Federer is an outstanding athlete who has shaped tennis for decades and stands for top performance. As a successful top athlete, he ideally represents our brand as we are united by the demand for perfection and the will to succeed,” Mercedes-Benz Cars Vice President, Marketing, Dr. Jens Thiemer, had stated in a Press release.
“Beyond sport, he is a great personality and a true gentleman with a heart, that cares for the game and those less fortunate, and is adored by his fans. With his pioneering tennis format Laver Cup, Roger is the pioneer of new, modern tennis events and, like the brand itself, he carves out innovative paths,” added Dr. Theimer.

Since 2008, Mercedes-Benz and Roger Federer have collaborated on Press events and productions for TV, print and social media publications.
The tennis legend had also appeared in the globally broadcast TV ad of the V-Class and the Chinese TV commercial for the M-Class. In addition, Federer had unveiled the vehicle as part of the Mercedes Cup 2016 at the world premiere of the E-Class T model.
