Formula 1 and DHL have extended their longest running partnership ahead of the first race of the F1 2018 season in Melbourne next week.
The Germany-global global logistics company DHL will become the first official partner of the F1 eSports Series and will retain its position as the official worldwide logistics partner of F1. DHL will benefit from media and branding rights associated with Formula One.
DHL will continue to provide F1 with full range of its services including shipping of cars, components, broadcast equipment, air freight, express, customs brokerage and specialist handling, across all the Grands Prix in 2018 season.
DHL will also continue to present the DHL Fastest Lap Award and the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award.
Arjan Sissing, head of corporate brand marketing at Deutsche Post DHL Group, said, “As logistics partner, DHL is in charge of the complex shipping of Formula One vehicles and equipment. The brand is, therefore, an integral component of this highly emotional sporting and entertainment experience with global reach.
“As the first official partner of the F1 eSports Series, we are very pleased to accompany Formula One on its digital journey and to actively contribute to the expansion and emotionalisation of the product range for fans.”
The brand and the global body for F1 have an existing relationship since 2004.
