French Open Quarterfinals: Alexander Zverev advances into semifinals, defeats Alejandro Davidovich Fokina

Sixth seed Alexander Zeverev has defeated Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the quarterfinals of the French Open to progress into the semifinals.

He won the first match 6-4, 6-1, and 6-1, dropping just one point in the second and third set respectively.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has defeated Daniil Medvedev to enter the semi-finals of the French Open 2021.

The No. 5-seeded Tsitsipas reached his 4th major semifinal, and second in a row at Roland Garros by upending No. 2 Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 7-6 (3), 7-5 at Court Philippe Chatrier in the last no-spectator night session of this year’s tournament.

Tsitsipas jumped two set points held by two-time Slam runner-up Medvedev at 5-4 in the second, but contrarily needed only more work than was necessitated of Zverev in his 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 victory over unseeded Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

French Open Quarterfinals: Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova defeats Elena Rybakina to book semifinal berth

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has defeated Elena Rybakina in three sets to qualify in the semifinals of the French Open 2021.

She won the battle 6-2, 9-7 in an epic battle after losing the opening set in the tie-breaker 6-7 (2-7).

French Open Quarterfinals: Tamara Zidansek enters semifinals, defeats Paula Badosa in three sets

Slovenia’s Tamara Zidansek has defeated Spain’s Paula Badosa in the quarterfinal of French Open 2021 to book a place in the semifinals.

Paula Badosa, who is ranked 35th in the WTA World Rankings, lost to 85th ranked Tamara Zidansek 7-5, 4-6, and 8-6.

The latter gave her a tough competition but could not emerge victoriously.

Coco Gauff vs Barbora Krejcikova- TBC

At the age of 17 years and 86 days, America’s Gauff is the youngest woman to reach the last eight of a Slam. She will face off Barbora Krejcikova in her bid to maiden grand slam title. She is coming on the back of wins against Ons Jabeur, Jennifer Brady (walkover), Qiang Wang and A Krunic. She has won all the contests in straight sets. Krejcikova, on the other hand, is coming on the back of wins against S Stephens, Elina Svitolina, E Alexandrova, and Karolina Plsikova.
