Italian football giants Inter Milan have inked a two-year partnership with the Pepsi-co’s energy drink brand Gatorade.
The PepsiCo energy drink brand Gatorade will serve as the official sports drink of the Italian Serie A club until the end of the 2019-20 season, supplying refreshments to the team both during training and on match days.
After ties with UEFA Champions League, the premier club competition in Europe, since 2015, the sports drink company has now strengthened its link with football with the Inter Milan deal.
“Becoming partners with Inter, a club which has clearly taken steps forward in recent years and has recently qualified for the Uefa Champions League, gives us great satisfaction,” said PepsiCo Italy chief executive Marcello Pincelli.
“For us, this partnership represents the shared values we have in terms of determination and a desire to achieve increasingly ambitious goals, something which has always been closely associated with Gatorade.”
Giorgio Brambilla, Inter’s sales and partnerships director, added: “We hope this new partnership helps both organisations move towards a future full of success.”
