Genshin Impact 2.1 Update: Today, Genshin Impact went live on Twitch and revealed a lot of information about the upcoming Genshin Impact version 2.1 update. The livestream revealed four new playable characters which includes Raiden Shogun, Kujou Sara, Sangonomiya Kokomi and Aloy from the Horizon Zero Dawn. A whole new fishing system has been introduced along with the Lunar Realm event and new Serenitea Pot to raise Ornamental Fish.

Players will be able to find various kinds of fishes all across Tevyat. They can use them for meat or even exchange them for rewards. Players can also get their hands on different kinds of fishing rods which they can use to catch different kinds of fishes straight out of water. Players will have to create a bait and aim their fishing rods in the water to catch fishes. Genshin Impact 2.1 update will allow players to furnish a new place as their personal realm known as the Pool of Sapphire Grace, where they can raise the new Ornamental fish.

Genshin Impact 2.1 livestream also announced a lot of new events in the upcoming 2.1 update including Spectral Secrets, Hyakunin Ikki Event, Light Caresses the Moon, Distant Storm, the Lunar Realm event and Mendacious Waves. In the Lunar Realm event, players will need to catch a unique fish known as the Lunar Leviathan. After completion of the task, players will be rewarded with various items like Mora, fishing rods, other unique fishes and Primogems. The update will also offer fish based weapons like the Luxurious Sea-Lord and other 4-star Claymores and Polearms. The upcoming version 2.1 update is likely to come out on September 1 as per the previous update launches.
