Genshin Impact 2.2: New update, release date, Thoma and more

The Genshin Impact version 2.1 update just released on September 01 and already a lot of information has been leaked about the upcoming Genshin Impact version 2.2 update. Many players have been thinking about the upcoming storyline of Genshin Impact as the story of Inazuma’s Vision Hunt is slowly approaching its ending. Thanks to some popular leakers, players can gain some idea about the upcoming events and banners of Genshin Impact 2.2.

According to reports, several banners have been leaked, although the order of release is still not clear. A leak suggested that Genshin Impact 2.2 will introduce a new 4-star character known as Thoma. Genshin Impact is planning to re-run some popular 5 star characters with Childe and Hu Tao being the potential choices. The upcoming character Thoma will be a Pyro Polearm character and feature an incredibly powerful Elemental Skills and Elemental Burst. He will be one of the most powerful upcoming characters that can inflict a lot of Pyro damage to the enemies.

Genshin Impact 2.2 will introduce a new event known as the World’s Sound Listening. This will be a rhythm styled event like the Windblume Festival. Players will be able to duet with their most liked characters and can also get a chance to obtain some new instruments. Genshin Impact 2.2 will also feature another two events called the Shadow of the Ancients and the Dreams of Bloom, but the details are still unknown. If Genshin Impact maintains its six-week update schedule, then Genshin Impact 2.2 update will arrive on October 12, 2021. Though all the above leaks may be subject to change anytime during the beta version of the update.
