Genshin Impact Version 2.0: Pre-installation date and time revealed for PC and Mobile, How to pre-install the update: Genshin Impact is about to launch its biggest update yet, and the Genshin community are all very excited about the release. Genshin Impact Version 2.0 will offer a whole new region called Inazuma with three new playable characters namely Sayu, Yoimiya and Ayaka. miHoYo will roll out the Genshin Impact Version 2.0, “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia” on July 21, 2021. Genshin Impact has announced a pre-installation function that will be available in both PC and mobile platforms. This will allow players to experience some of the upcoming features of the version 2.0 update.

Genshin Impact version 2.0 will be available to players for pre-installation just two days before the main release. Players will be able to pre-install the update on their PC, Android or iOS devices from July 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM (UTC +8). It is recommended that players should complete any domain or remaining challenges and then start pre-installing the game resources. The game will still go through the major update on 21st July.
How to pre-install Genshin Impact version 2.0?
For PC users:
Players can open the Genshin Impact launcher and look for the “Game Pre-installation” button that is situated to the left of the “Launch”. If it is not visible, then the player needs to update the launcher. After clicking on the “Game Pre-installation” button, the game will start downloading the latest resources. PC players will be able to able to play the game while the pre-installation takes place in the background.
For Mobile users:
There are two methods offered by miHoYo to pre-install the Genshin Impact version 2.0.
Method 1:
Players need to open Genshin Impact and then go to the “Paimon Menu” by selecting the Paimon icon. Inside the “Paimon Menu” they need to click on “Settings” and then navigate to “Others”. There they can find the “Pre-Install Resource Package” option which will start downloading the resources.
Method 2:
Players can also pre-install the update by opening Genshin Impact, they can find “Pre-Install Resource Package” on the bottom left corner of the screen before entering into the game. Players can start the download by tapping the icon.
