Happy Raksha Bandhan: Raksha Bandhan is celebrated with great pomp and show in India, as it celebrates the bond between siblings. The meaning of the word “Raksha Bandhan” is “ the bond of protection” which signifies the strength of the relationship between a brother and a sister. On the special occasion, IPL 2021 franchises chipped in with their heartfelt best wishes to all the people celebrating on social media.

Happy Raksha Bandhan:  Punjab Kings shared a heartfelt image to mark the occasion with a graphic that symbolised a rakhi with pictures from some of their players and their celebrations with their siblings. In pictures, captain KL Rahul, Arshdeep Singh, Darshan Nalkande, Harpreet Brar and Ishan Porel posing with their siblings as they celebrated the festivities.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians shared a video of how some of their stars reunited with their sisters in India virtually while they are in Abu Dhabi preparing for the upcoming IPL 2021 Phase 2. Arjun Tendulkar, Anmolpreet Singh, Yudhvir Singh, Aditya Tare featured in the clip wishing their sisters on the occasion before sending the same across to their fans.

RCB simply put out a message wishing their fans on the festival. Sunrisers Hyderabad also shared a graphic of siblings playing cricket and put out a heartfelt wish saying, “We didn’t even realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun playing our favourite game Cricket bat and ball.
