CEAT has announced its association with one of the most prolific all-rounders in women’s cricket Harmanpreet Kaur. Kaur will spot the Ceat branding on her bat for a period of 2 years. Through this partnership, she has become the first woman cricketer to bag the bat endorsement deal.  She will now be seen playing with a bat prominently displaying CEAT insignia in all formats of the game.

The deal makes Harmanpreet a valuable addition to team CEAT which already has the likes of Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane & Ishan Kishan on board.

In 2017, a year considered to be a breakthrough year in women’s cricket, Kaur has been consistent with the bat and ball in the Indian colors raising her profile in world cricket. She was also conferred by the Arjuna Award for Cricket for her blistering performances throughout her career.

Currently one of the stars of the Indian women’s cricket, she has been a consistent performer across multiple formats of the game. In 2017, World Cup semi-final against Australia, she scored a career-best 171 which is the highest individual score by an Indian in world cup history. Kaur is the first Indian cricketer to be signed by an overseas franchise in a T20 tournament wearing colours of Sydney Thunders in the 2016-17 Women’s Big Bash League.

Commenting on the partnership, Nitish Bajaj, Vice President – Marketing, CEAT Limited, said, “The profile of women’s cricket has had a staggering increase with the 2017 World Cup itself proving to be one of the breakthrough tournaments. The Indian Women’s Cricket team has been performing brilliantly over the years and we at CEAT strongly believe in supporting the sport. We are proud to sign Harmanpreet Kaur as our first women cricketer on board, who has been an inspiration to budding cricketers on and off the field. We believe that her dynamic personality combined with her performance on the field represents the values that CEAT believes in.”

On her association with CEAT, Kaur, said, “I am delighted to be associated with CEAT that is already represented by icons of Indian cricket. Taking the momentum of 2017 forward I look forward to putting in consistent performances for the team this year.”

CEAT has its roots gripped with cricket, including its partnership with IPL for the Strategic Time Out segment or the CEAT Cricket Ratings that recognizes and rewards the exceptional performances of players on the international stage.
