The deal makes Harmanpreet a valuable addition to team CEAT which already has the likes of Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane & Ishan Kishan on board.
In 2017, a year considered to be a breakthrough year in women’s cricket, Kaur has been consistent with the bat and ball in the Indian colors raising her profile in world cricket. She was also conferred by the Arjuna Award for Cricket for her blistering performances throughout her career.
Currently one of the stars of the Indian women’s cricket, she has been a consistent performer across multiple formats of the game. In 2017, World Cup semi-final against Australia, she scored a career-best 171 which is the highest individual score by an Indian in world cup history. Kaur is the first Indian cricketer to be signed by an overseas franchise in a T20 tournament wearing colours of Sydney Thunders in the 2016-17 Women’s Big Bash League.
