Cricket commentator and columnist Harsha Bhogle has made an undisclosed investment in ChqBook.com.
The investment in the marketplace for personalized financial services is Bhogle’s first maiden investment in a start-up.
“With 40% of the population having no association with any bank and more than 80% of the transactions carried out through cash, financial services is under-penetrated in India. This combined with the rapidly growing population of youngsters and rising adoption of smartphones, offers a huge opportunity to ChqBook” business daily Economic Times has reported Bhogle as saying.
“Bhogle is widely acknowledged to be the voice of cricket. We are elated to have him on board as he brings a trusted and impartial voice to the Chqbook brand” says Vipul Sharma, founder & CEO of Chqbook.
An IIM-Ahmedabad graduate, Bhogle has not disclosed his total financial commitment to the Gurgaon-based start-up.
ChqBook.com allows customers to explore, compare and buy personal finance products like personal loans, home loans and credit cards.
he startup was founded in 2017 and uses its proprietary AI platform – TARA, to provide a choice of personalized, pre-approved products through its partnerships with banks. ChqBook rewards are based on an individual’s credit score and product choices.
