Hero MotoCorp has come on board as the title sponsor for the three-nation Nidahas Trophy. The tournament, to be hosted by Sri Lanka Cricket, will be called Hero Nidahas Trophy 2018.
Sri Lanka Cricket has announced the successful tie-up with Hero MotoCorp. The hosts are expecting a profit of ₹ 100 crores from the T20 tri-series.
This is the first time since 2004, SLC solely went into the international market and secured partners to grant media and broadcasting rights of the Hero Nidahas Trophy 2018, SLC has stated in a media release.
Hero MotoCorp Limited, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has also announced title sponsor of the T20 tri-nation tournament. The March 6-18 tournament is being organised to celebrate Sri Lanka’s 70 years of independence.
The tournament will feature India, Bangladesh and hosts Sri Lanka. The matches will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
